The issue with choosing activities is that sometimes there are just too many good choices!

Following are the activities we have come up with for this convention. For those who would like to go to the Winstone Tour, we may be able to also include a trip to the Antarctic Centre if you want to 'double down'.

Winstone Wallboards Christchurch Site Tour
$15pp transport - limited to 40 people

We are thrilled to have the opportunity to visit the Winstone Wallboard site in Christchurch to see up close what they do.
This is a smaller site than Auckland, so it is limited to the first 40 people.

Visitors must wear long pants and sleeves, with closed in shoes. PPE gear of hi-viz jacket and safety glasses are also required, but there will be some available if required.

Antarctic Centre
$70pp including transport, plus extra $25pp for those who want to do the Penguin Special Tour

We’ve packed all the mystery and excitement of the Antarctic into one incredible award-winning visitor destination.
Located next to Christchurch International Airport, and open every day of the year, the International Antarctic Centre has a huge range of experiences guaranteed to entertain the whole family. Be chilled in our incredible Antarctic storm room. Be thrilled on an all-terrain vehicle tour. Make friends with penguins and huskies. Learn about the first expeditions, modern day life on Scott Base and the future of humanity on the ice. Be amazed through the big screen ice tour and astonished within the immersive 4D theatre. In just a few hours here the icy continent will create memories to last a lifetime. It’s cold. It’s cool. It’s waiting to be discovered by you.

Premium Penguin Caregiver Group Tour
Now you can see how our penguin guardians care for these precious birds in our Penguin Welfare Centre.
On our Penguin Caregiver Group Tour you’ll get an exclusive behind the scenes view of the world of care that goes into looking after these beautiful birds.

You’ll get access deep into the heart of our rescue penguin programme. There’s a huge amount of detail here. You’ll see what it takes maintaining the pool environment, talk with one of our Antarctic Guides, and learn about penguin feeding and husbandry. It’s a great way to go ‘below the surface’ in this important facility.

$133pp including transport

The Christchurch Adventure Park Zipline includes both New Zealand’s highest zipline at 150 metres and New Zealand’s longest zipline at over 1.1 kilometres. It is dual-lined which means you can race others through the heights and widths of the Park.
Our zipline tour is approximately 2.5 hours in duration and includes sites of geographical and historical significance to Christchurch, as well as some good ol’ fashioned banter from our guides.

Mountain Biking
$105pp including transport

For those who like feeling the ground beneath them when they go downhill at speed, the Christchurch Adventure Park also has the Downhill Apprentice Mountain Biking Adventure.

This includes uplifts, bike hire, all protective gear, a coach/bike guide for 90 minutes, and then the remaining hour to free ride.

Tramway Restaurant

A unique way to view the inner city of Christchurch in an air-conditioned, colonial style dining tram, and be treated to the finest service, cuisine and beverages New Zealand has to offer. The Christchurch Tramway Restaurant dinner tour is a unique activity not to be missed. The trip lasts 2.5 hours, and includes a welcome drink, starter, entree, main, dessert and tea/coffee. The menu changes seasonally and features quality New Zealand produce and includes gluten free, dairy free, and vegetarian options. Limited to 24 people.
