Efficient coating processes are essential for sustainable manufacturing of automotive and industrial products. Amine additives are a key component of waterborne coating formulations that impact both the curing process and the final film properties.
ANGUS has developed a new etheramine additive that enables low-temperature curing while simultaneously providing better coating performance. This presentation will highlight unique structure-property features that provide multifunctional benefits including catalysis, solvency, and coalescence.
Our results demonstrate improved hardness development, gloss, and yellowing resistance. We anticipate broad interest from manufacturers and formulators seeking to improve throughput, reduce energy consumption, and enhance performance of inks and coatings.

Ding Bo joined ANGUS Chemical Company as a Customer Application Specialist in July 2016. In this role, he is responsible for application development in paints and coatings, polymers, mineral slurries and electronic materials as well as providing technical service supporting Japan, Korea, South East Asia, Australia and New Zealand.

Prior to joining ANGUS, Ding Bo was a Research Fellow at Nanyang Technological University developing materials and prototype devices for energy storage.

Ding Bo holds a PhD degree in Material Science and Electrochemistry from the University of Singapore. Ding Bo is based in Singapore at ANGUS Chemical Company’s Singapore Customer Application Center.
