WEBINAR: Optimising additives in Mill base formulation – A practical approach

  • 18 Oct 2021
  • 8:00 PM
  • Webinar

Registration is closed

SPEAKER:
Mr Joe Lombardo,
Chemadd-Agency Manager

SYNOPSIS:
Joe's talk is about how to simply screen and optimise Micro foam and Macro foam control agents for paint systems, especially in the TiO2 Mill base. The simple technique uses existing technology products to maximise the impacts and effectiveness in Mill Bases, by what appears to be synergies between typical surfactants used, Micro agents and foam control additives. The testing process described can also differentiate between different additives. This technique allows the formulator to reduce the time for screening and potentially also improve final physical properties by minimising the total required additives in the final paint formulations.

This study also confirms an earlier observation and presentation to SCAA/SCANZ that dispersants and Hyperbranched surfactant additives do produce beneficial synergies in Mill Bases and potentially in final let down stage and the physical properties of the paint.

RSVP Deadline:  Please register before end of day Thursday 14 October.
