ACA Members, SCANZ Members and their guests are cordially invited to attend a technical meeting to be held by the ACA Auckland Division in September. The meeting will comprise three speakers who will address recent developments in corrosion control, in their fields of expertise. 

This is the first live meeting to be held in Auckland for some time due to Covid and the lockdowns. We encourage ACA Members to make a special effort to attend this meeting and to bring any guests. SCANZ Members are welcome to attend the meeting.

Date:   Thursday 14^th September 2023.  Please mark your diary now.

Venue:  The Sussex Room at the Surrey Hotel, 465 Great North Rd, Grey Lynn, Auckland. There is ample parking available.

Time:   Meet from 5.30pm for refreshments in the lounge. The meeting starts at 6pm.

Theme of the Meeting:  Advances in Corrosion Control through the Years

Corrosion control methodologies have steadily evolved and improved over recent years. The speakers will give short presentations on various aspects of corrosion control that have occurred in their fields of expertise in recent years.

Speakers.  There are three speakers presenting:                                          

1. Stewart Hobbs, Structural Engineer. Principal at Proconsult Ltd, Auckland.  Stewart is a Fellow of Engineering NZ and he will talk on some corrosion control developments in engineering.
    
2. Peter Walters, Coatings Consultant, Auckland. Peter is a Life Member of SCANZ and he will talk on some aspects of heavy duty protective coatings.
    
3. Les Boulton, Corrosion Consultant, Auckland. Les is a Life Member of ACA and he is retired. He will talk on some developments in engineering materials over the years.  

The Chair for the Meeting is Matt Vercoe. Matt is also Chair of ACA Auckland Division and Technical Sales Manager at MSS. At the conclusion of the presentations there will be a Forum at which the Speakers will address any questions or comments from the audience.
