Paints & Coatings Asia Pacific Lead ICL Group ABSTRACT: Sustainability with Heavy-Metal-Free Corrosion Inhibitors Sustainability and environmental regulations have been a major driver for innovation in the coatings industry for the past couple of decades. Significant progress has been made in corrosion inhibition technology. We will discuss the regulatory landscape as well as experimental results of heavy-metal-free corrosion inhibitors in water-based industrial coatings. The mechanisms of the new technologies will also be discussed.BIOGRAPHY: Bodan has served as a Senior Technical Marketing Manager for ICL/Halox since 2011. Prior to working with ICL/Halox, he worked at multiple multi-national companies, including PPG, BASF and ICI, playing senior technical leadership, as well as marketing and new business development roles. Bodan holds more than 20 patents in polymeric materials. He received his bachelor degree from Tsinghua University, and PHD of Polymer science and engineering from the University of Massachusetts. |
