This presentation details the technology that is currently available and in demand in Europe, for 100% bio renewable resins. Information is supplied by Synthopol -The Resin Company. Located in Germany, they are key players in the on- going development of resins that meet the regulatory and modern market demands that are so often initiated in Europe.

This paper uses an example of a commercially available alkyd that is 100 % biorenewable, including the solvent. It describes the materials and compares it to other partly biorenewable technologies.

David Kennedy is the New Zealand Territory Manager for Oxerra, formerly known as Cathay Industries. David has worked in the coatings industry in New Zealand and overseas for more years than he’s prepared to admit! David’s career covers technical, manufacturing, operations as well as sales and marketing.
